For me as a non-Warhammerer this involves the press release invocation of terms like "the Kislev Circus and their ferocious Tame Bears" and I sit there scratching my head and trying to work out whether the Hebrew calendar has a bear festival. Doubly so since Cyanide provides a lot more support with Blood Bowl 2 then any of the older versions.Blood Bowl 2 - the sequel to the initial digital foray for the American football/Warhammer mashup - is bringing new races, a new stadium and new game modes with the release of its Legendary Edition later in 2017. I was one of the first group of people to switch to Blood Bowl 2 from Chaos Edition and I have not regretted it in the slightest.

BB2: Legendary Edition also adds a free camera (I think C switches camera modes?). "RTS Mode" (I presume you mean Blitz Mode) was disliked by most of the playerbase and served mostly to confuse newcomers by adding rules and options that experienced players never used.īlood Bowl 2 does have a grid overlay (I think it's control key?) with several modes. Chaos Edition came with, I think, three races (Chaos Dwarves, Underworld, and the Cyanide created Khorne Daemons) and a stadium and, from what I remember, it was not considered a great value unless one specifically wanted those races.Ĭhaos Edition also had a number of bugs and Cyanide was not fixing them experienced players could mostly avoid them (which would make them less visible in Let's Plays), but they were far from intuitive (general advice was to completely avoid the saved Formations stuff because it sometimes lead to being stuck with the wrong number of players on the pitch). There were allot of teams, the control scheme wasn't perfect but it was completely playable and quite intuitive, you could actually spin the camera, there were more game modes (like the RTS mode), there was actually a grid overlay for the pitch and several different skins for the pitch (like the snow pitch and the pirate ship), not to mention that the UI was organized and intuitive. To begin with the game came out in one piece, instead of some 15 DLC options that cost extra.
